Director Daniel Li fashions an affectionate homage to the golden age of Hong Kong cinema--replete with high-octane action sequences and lavish period-piece production design--with his kung fu extravaganza, BOOK AND SWORD. Martial arts icon Vincent Zhao (BLADE, ONCE UPON A TIME IN CHINA) stars as Gar-lok Chan, the rebel leader of a Red Flower Society bent on overthrowing the corrupt Ching emperor. Ray Lui, Esther Kwan, and Pei Pei Cheng round out the all-star cast.
